Colorful Springtime!

I recently came across this to die for DIY Easter project on Modern Parents Messy Kids Blog. This blog has quickly become one of my favorites!

Their Paint Chip Easter Garland is so fresh and unique, and more importantly it looked pretty easy to do. Once I saw it I was on a mission to replicate it.

Here is my version of the Paint Chip Easter Garland...I admit I get a little carried away, but I just couldn't help myself. =)

 

 

The project took me about a day to complete and I did feel a little silly collecting all the paint chips from Lowes, but it was well worth it!

Since Easter is just a few weeks away I thought I would share some adorable items inspired by Spring that would make a perfect addition to any easter basket. These are just a few items that are available from my fellow EtsyKids Team members. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Giveaway Winner - Little BGCG & Hi Mama Review It

The winner from the Little BGCG & Hi Mama Review It review and giveaway requested that I make a beanie for her daughter with the University of Virginia Cavaliers logo. At first I was a little unsure of how it would turn out since it was a somewhat difficult logo to replicate. However, I can say that I am very proud of how it turned out. I thought I would share the finished product.




This beanie demonstrates perfectly why I love custom orders. I was able to surprise myself and create and applique that I would not have thought to create on my own.

The Little Hedgehog - Review

A few weeks ago Sarah, writer of The Little Hedgehog blog, entered a giveaway for one of my beanies. At the time she also visited the blog and let me know how much she loved the amigurumi animals. I took at look at her blog and loved it! After exchanging a few emails it was decided that she would review Blush and Bashful Studio and I would make her an adorable hedgehog.

Here is her fabulous review.

Larger Amigurumi Animals

These are larger amigurumi animals that I have been working on. There is a Tiger, Bunny and Hedgehog.

There are 2 different styles that I have made for the Tiger. Both measure approximately 15" long.

This one I made for my daughter in poddle pink and espresso brown. He is adorable and she loves carrying him around.


This one I made for a friend. The main difference from the first Tiger other than the colors is the snout area.


Here is a Bunny that I recently made to donate for a fundraiser along with a blanket. I am sure that I will be making more of him. Especially for the little one we are expecting in February. =)





Last and certainly no least I have a Hedgehog that I just made for an upcoming review. He measures approximately 5" long and 3" tall. I love his spikey hair!



Keep a look out for the review on this little guy, hopefully coming in the next month or so.

I have a pattern for a Moose that I haven't found the time to make, but once I do I will be sure to post pictures.

More Amigurumi Animals Added

I have 7 amigurumi animals now listed in my shop. Each time I complete one my little Kylie can't wait to get her hands on them. I soon found out the my friend's children also love the little animals. I think it is because they fit in their small hands so well. I completed these animals a few months ago but haven't found the time to create listings for them.

I have 2 available now, the elephant and walrus, both are absolutely adorable. I'm able to customize all the colors on each amigurumi and each of them has very securely attached safety eyes. Kylie who can seemingly take anything apart is not successful when it comes to my amigurumi.
